La apertura comercial de China iniciada en los años 80 está en una fase avanzada de consolidación, hasta el punto en que no sólo se ha producido una algo más que tímida apertura a la inversión extranjera, sino que ha sido la propia China la que ha apostado por la expansión internacional de sus empresas y por la inversión en mercados extranjeros. A la vista de los frenéticos cambios en el panorama global y la posición de China como uno de los actores internacionales más importantes a nivel económico, Europa y China deben reajustar el marco de sus relaciones mutuas de inversión. Las mayores y mejores inversiones mutuas pueden ser muy positivas, pero solo podrán desplegar su potencial sobre la base de un nuevo marco con más reciprocidad y respeto mutuo a los intereses esenciales de ambos socios estratégicos. The commercial opening of China that began in the 1980s is in an advanced phase of consolidation, to the point that not only has there been more than a timid opening to foreign investment, but it has been China itself that has bet for the international expansion of its companies and for investment in foreign markets. In view of the frenetic changes in the global landscape and Chinas position as one of the most important international economic actors, Europe and China must readjust the framework of their mutual investment relations. Larger and better mutual investments can be very positive, but they can only unleash their potential on the basis of a new framework with more reciprocity and mutual respect for the essential interests of both strategic partners.
